Automobile Accident Recovery

The time following an automobile accident is filled with anxiety and confusion. What am I going to do now? How will I get to work? You may be in some state of shock.  Symptoms following an automobile accident injury can occur immediately or start days or weeks later.

Whiplash injury symptoms include:

  • Neck and shoulder pain
  • Decreased neck range of motion
  • Dizziness
  • Jaw pain
  • Low back pain and stiffness
  • Burning in the neck, shoulder and arms

Chiropractic care restores proper motion and alignment of the spine. Several studies show that a large percentage of people with whiplash caused by automobile injuries continued to have pain years after their accident. Chiropractic treatment, physiotherapy, massage plus strength and stretching exercises is the best way to heal an accident victim. Most injuries from automobile accidents include damage to the ligaments and possibly the intervertebral discs.

Dr. Marty uses a variety of chiropractic techniques:

  • Manual manipulation(diversified technique)
  • SOT (sacro-occipital technique), activator
  • Drop piece
  • Extremity adjustments

Therapies:

  • Massage therapy
  • Electrical muscle stimulation
  • Interferential treatment
  • Myofascial release
  • Acupuncture
  • Active release technique
